Startup recycles dead seagrass leaves to make iPhone cases
The company PHEE has found a way to use dead seagrass leaves as a raw material to produce PHEE-board, a decorative panel which it then turns into functional objects like iPhone cases. The collection and upcycling of this material is saving coastal cities in Greece thousands of dollars that they would otherwise spend to discard the washed-up leaves in the country’s landfills.
