TL;DR: Available in Black, White, and Beats Red, the new Beats Studio Buds are available at Amazon and Walmart for $149.99 starting June 25.

The third-generation AirPods are still in limbo, and we probably won’t see another version of the AirPods Pro ’til next year. But if you’re currently in the market for a newer pair of Apple-made earbuds, today’s your lucky day.

Announced in mid-June after a few weeks of rumors, the all-new Beats Studio Buds are officially up for grabs at Amazon and Walmart as of June 25 — get a pair for $149.99 in your choice of three colors: Black, White, or Beats Red. (Note: They were all listed as “Temporarily Out of Stock” on Amazon the last time we checked, but you can still place your order now and won’t be charged until they ship.)

Each pair of Studio Buds includes a pocket-sized charging case with a five-minute Fast Fuel feature.

The sweat- and water-resistant Studio Buds pack a lot of power despite being Beats’ “tiniest, most subtle form factor to date,” with 8.2mm, dual-element diaphragm drivers and a two-chamber acoustic design on top of Active Noise Cancellation *and* support for Spatial Audio. (That’s the immersive new Apple Music sound format that launched earlier this month.) Perhaps most importantly, though, they work equally well with iOS and Android, offering one-touch pairing for both kinds of devices — that’s a first for a Beats product.

As far as battery life goes, the Studio Buds offer up to 8 hours of listening time with two extra charges provided by their wired charging case, which works out to up to 24 hours of combined playback. (Said case also comes with a Fast Fuel feature that gets you an hour of playback with a five-minute charge.)

Our comrades over on the Mashable tech team hadn’t dropped a review of the Studio Buds at the time of writing, but the AirPods Pro comparisons are already rolling in elsewhere — a super promising development considering the Buds retail for a whole $100 less.
