Walmart has the the new ‘Fortnite,’ ‘Smash Bros.,’ and ‘Pokémon’ Nintendo Switches up for pre-order
If you have FOMO from missing the National Video Games Day sales, we’ll let you in on a little secret: Walmart just unlocked three new models of the Nintendo Switch for pre-order, and we are freaking out. If you don’t have your paws on a Switch yet and Fortnite, Super Smash Bros., or Pokémon are your pride and joy, you are about to be #blessed.
If you can be patient for another week (or month, depending on which console you choose), these pre-orders can ensure you that you’ll get your mitts on your new Switch the day it’s released — so can rub it in your friends’ faces when they see the inevitable “Out of stock” message.
Here are your options:
Shipping on Oct. 5, the Fortnite bundle comes equipped with a gray Switch, 1,000 V-bucks, and the Double Helix set that includes a character outfit, back bling, a glider, and a pickaxe. The V-bucks can be used to snag a Battle Pass for even more in-game purchases.
Shipping on Nov. 2, the Super Smash Bros. hardware bundle features a gray Switch and themed Joy-Con controllers, specially designed dock picturing fighters from the OG Super Smash Bros. game, and a download code for the newest Super Smash Bros. The game won’t be playable until its official release date on Dec. 7, but you’ll be set the second it goes live.
Shipping on Nov. 16, this gray and yellow Switch comes with a Pikachu and Eevee themed dock, matching Joy-Con controllers, the Poke Ball Plus accessory, and a download code for the Pokemon: Lets Go, Pikachu! game. Let your journey to the Kanto region commence. (Note: This bundle is currently out of stock but expected to be back before the release date.)
Seriously guys, don’t sleep on these preorders — this stuff won’t be in stock for long.
Psst: Even if you’re not into any of these devices, we’d bet money that someone on your holiday gifting list is. This is a clutch chance to get some holiday shopping done early and avoid the hell that is Black Friday. Just saying.
