This digital measuring tape works by simply rolling across objects
TL;DR: Take the tape out of tape measure with the Rollova 2.0 digital ruler for $76.99, a 13% savings as of May 13.
As if you didn’t already know, everything is digital these days. Seriously, think about it. From calling a cab to depositing a check, most of your daily activities transformed without you even noticing. Heck, you can even measure things digitally with this gadget called the Rollova 2.0.
About the size of a cookie, the Rollova 2.0 can measure any straight or curved surface up to 83 feet by simply rolling over it (get it?). Whether you’re measuring a couch to see if it’ll fit through the doorway of your apartment or checking to see if you’ve gained a few inches during quarantine, you simply press the button, roll it on over, and get a digital reading on the bright OLED screen. You’ll know instantly if you need to pivot, back out, or proceed with the couch — or find out just how much your kid has grown over the last two months.
Its strength is definitely in measuring curved and uneven surfaces, but it can easily do the flat, straight edges as well. Just how accurate is it? According to the creators at Hozo Design, it has a tolerance of about 0.4 percent, which is pretty dang precise. Oh, and you can have it read you the measurements in your preferred units.
The Rollova 2.0 powers up using two standard coin batteries and it comes with a new set, which should last for around two years. You’ll also get a fancy black genuine leather case, a screen protector, and an extra rubber tire, just in case you’re super clumsy.
Want to see it in action? Here you go:
After a successful funding round on Kickstarter for an extraordinary $105K, the Rollova 2.0 Digital Ruler is now available for $89. But since you’re a Mashable reader, you can save over 10% and get it on sale for just $76.99.
