Some of the best cases for the iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR (so far)
Apparently Apple made a big announcement yesterday or something — I guess they debuted the new iPhones or whatever. You know, something small that we are totally not freaking out over.
If you haven’t yet seen it plastered all over the internet, three new iPhones were debuted at the Apple Event on Sept. 12: The iPhone XS, iPhone XR, and iPhone X Plus. New features include edge-to-edge super retina displays, A12 chips, depth-of-field adjustments for better selfies, and iOS 12. Oh yeah, and they’re just plain gorgeous.
Preordering starts on Sept. 14, because Apple knew we’d all be throwing hands if we had to wait any longer. You’d be smart to get on that preordering as early as possible, but you know what would make you even smarter? Having a case ready for it.
Yup, phone case manufacturers are already rolling out their brand new lines for the unreleased iPhones. So unless you want to risk cracking your new baby on the first day, you should probably get on this. And since most of the new iPhones are going to set you back at least a cool grand, you’ll want to make sure that puppy is protected. (The iPhone XR is the “budget-friendly” model — it starts at $749.)
We’ve listed our favorite rollouts so far, but be sure to check back as we’ll be updating when another brand puts theirs up for grabs.
The trusted name is (obviously) on top of the game already with their classic protective cases as well as new ultra slim ones, classy leather ones, folio stand ones, and more. Prices start at $39.95.
Hardcore cases for hardcore people. Rugged lifestyles require a rugged, shockproof phone case to protect against any and all accidents, even the ones that involve water. Prices start at $34.95.
Durability meets shiny (and puppies!) — Case-Mate’s iconic cases encompass all things glitter, florals, and being an overall bad bitch. Let the mirror selfies begin. Prices start at $35.
Talk about aesthetically pleasing. Casetify offers every pattern, sassy quote about coffee, or shade of marble that you could ever ask for, all with military grade protection. Personalization options are also available, because who wouldn’t want to slap their name over cascading glitter? Prices start at $29.
Spigen is a brand that is named constantly in every tech authority’s “Best iPhone cases” roundups — and that’s because nothing gets past their tough armor cases and air cushion technology. It’s extreme drop defense without the extreme price. Prices start at $10.99.
