We’re aware many Snapchatters are having trouble using the app. Hang tight – we’re looking into it ?️

Snapchat confirmed the outage on Twitter at around 10:30 a.m. ET. As of publishing, hashtag #snapchatdown is currently the number one trend on Twitter.
“We’re aware many Snapchatters are having trouble using the app” tweeted the @SnapchatSupport account. “Hang tight – we’re looking into it.”
While many users are first noticing issues with Snapchat now, users on the West Coast had an outage in the wee hours of the morning. DownDetector confirms that earlier Snapchat outage as well.
As many people self-quarantine during the coronavirus pandemic, it’s actually a bit surprising how few social media outages there have been, considering how many people are using these services.
Mashable will update this post with more information as we receive it.
