TL;DR: The Apple Watch Series 5 is currently $100 off on Amazon (as of June 26) just in time for the new watchOS 7 update.

ICYMI: Apple announced an exciting update to its Watch operating system earlier his week at WWDC 2020, adding a new sleep tracking feature, a revamped Activity app, shareable watch faces, and an automatic handwashing detection tool for watchOS7. (If the latter isn’t a sign of the times, we don’t know what is.)

Perhaps coincidentally, the Apple Watch Series 5 just dropped to its lowest price ever on Amazon — you can get it with GPS and cellular for only $429, or solely GPS for $299 or $329 depending on the display size (a $100 savings any way you slice it). With that watch OS update expected to drop in just a few months, it’s hard to think of a better time to buy.

A winner of our coveted Mashable’s Choice Award, the Apple Watch Series 5 is basically the gold standard of smartwatches. Highlights include a plethora of health features (from menstrual cycle tracking to noise detection); positionally aware apps thanks to a built-in compass; and a large, always-on display that “feels like a game-changer,” per tech reporter Karissa Bell. Apple’s also made its construction completely swim-proof, so feel free to bring it to the beach this summer (if you’re lucky enough to live near one that’s open) — just try to avoid any contact with sand.

Amazon’s sale includes all of the following variants:
