OnePlus will launch its new flagship, the OnePlus 7 Pro, at a New York City event on May 14, the company announced Tuesday.
The launch event will also be held near-simultaneously in London, Bangalore and Beijing.
There’s no word on what the new OnePlus will be like, though the addition of the “Pro” moniker indicates that there will also be a regular, less powerful variant of the phone.
OnePlus CEO Pete Lau did confirm to The Verge that the Pro variant will have a “significant display upgrade” over the regular variant, as well as a 5G option.
Indeed, our new product will utilize all-new display technology. We have invested significantly (technology is 3x cost of other flagship displays) in developing the technology just for OnePlus, a flagship screen experience that is truly best in the world. https://t.co/HVDhfI8uDA
