We’re one week removed from the Mobile World Congress trade show in Barcelona, where LG will be one of many smartphone companies to launch new flagship phones.

LG has already told us some details about its upcoming devices, but now a leaked photo (courtesy of leaker Evan Blass) shows the LG G8 ThinQ from all sides.

The image shows a phone with a classic notched display and a bit of a chin on the bottom. On the back, there’s a dual camera and a fingerprint scanner. You can also see that the company, thankfully, hasn’t given up on the headphone jack.

If the image is accurate, the LG G8’s design and visible features aren’t very exciting. It’s difficult to call it obsolete — after all, basically every flagship that launched in the last year looked like this — but in 2019, when competitors are launching phones with triple cameras, under-the-display fingerprint scanners and hole-punch screens, the G8 is just alright.

In its pre-launch press materials, LG pointed out that the G8 will have a new face recognition system that works well in all conditions. The company also said it would launch a 5G phone with a vapor chamber cooling system, and it’s also looking at phones with different form factors, though it’s unclear whether these features are related to the G8 or some other device.

Personally, where I’d like to see the LG improve most is with the battery life. LG’s phones have been really good in the past two years, and the only major flaw I found with them was that the battery never lasted as long as I needed it to.

LG’s got a press event in Barcelona on Feb. 24, and Mashable will be there to bring you the news.
