‘Dog the Bounty Hunter’ Beth Chapman is in medical coma

Beth Chapman, who starred alongside her husband in the reality show “Dog the Bounty Hunter,” is in a medically induced coma.

Chapman’s husband, Duane, confirmed the news on Facebook, including a link to a Hawaii News Now report that said she is being treated in the ICU at Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu.

Duane also wrote on Twitter early Sunday to ask his followers to “Please say your prayers for Beth right now thank you love you.”

Chapman is best known for her prominent role alongside her husband in the A&E reality show that ran from 2004 to 2012, following the pair tracking down bail fugitives in Hawaii and Colorado.

In September 2017, the couple announced that Chapman had been diagnosed with Stage 2 throat cancer. In a special aired the next month, the couple said Chapman’s cancer had been successfully removed, though it came back in 2018.

Entertainment Tonight reports that she started chemotherapy treatments in January, which she acknowledged in an Instagram post that included the hashtags “#cancersucks,” “#stayhumblepray,” and “#itsonlyhair.”

Beth was rushed to the hospital in November for emergency surgery to clear a throat blockage and most recently the family said she was hospitalized in April due to fluid in her lungs that required an emergency procedure to alleviate pressure.

The couple is slated to return to television in the October premiere of “ Dog’s Most Wanted.”
