Starting at $999, Dell’s popular XPS 13 is one of the best and most affordable Windows 10 laptops of the year.

But if the price was still keeping you on the fence, we have some good news: At IFA 2018, Dell announced a new model that starts at $899, making the laptop even more attractive, especially for budget-strapped students.

The new XPS 13 still has all of the features that make the 2018 refresh so great, including the insanely narrow bezels around the display, a comfortable keyboard and trackpad, three USB-C ports, and a sturdy design.

The only difference is the processor: an eighth-generation Intel Core i3 chip The $999 XPS 13 comes with a more powerful Core i5 chip.

Sure, you’re trading in performance for a $100 in savings, but if you’re a student and you’re spending most of your time writing, watching videos, streaming music, or doing other non-intensive tasks, the Core i3 version’s not a bad option.

Don’t forget that you can always configure it to your needs at purchase by adding more storage and more RAM.

In addition to the new Core i3 XPS 13, Dell’s also refreshed the 2-in-1 version of the XPS 13. The transforming laptops now come 8th-gen Intel Core i5 or i7 processors and

As with the XPS 13, the machines have very slim bezels (5.2mm thick if you’re dying to know) around the Quad HD+ “InfinityEdge” touchscreen, support Dell’s Active Pen stylus, and have up to 15 hours of battery life. Dell also says the fanless design also makes the XPS 13 2-in-1 really quiet.

The configurations are all pretty standard stuff: up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of SSD storage. For ports, the laptop comes with a Thunderbolt 3 port, a USB 3.1 port, headphone jack, and a microSD card reader. You can also get an optional Windows Hello-ready fingerprint sensor.

The updated XPS 13 2-in-1 will be available in the U.S. on Sept. 11 starting at $999.99.
