TL;DR: This powerful WAN router with built-in VPN support is great for small offices and businesses. It typically retails for $265.99, but Amazon has it on sale right now for $128 — a 52% savings.

You probably know by now that using a virtual private network, or VPN, is among the best ways to keep your personal data secure and online activities private. (… And if you didn’t, well, now you do. Glad that’s settled!)

But consider for a moment the possible consequences of not having a secure connection in a professional context. Not only would you be putting your company’s data at risk of being hacked, but that of your clients and customers would be vulnerable to pesky cybercriminals, too.

That’s why it behooves you to pick up something like Cisco’s popular RV320 router, which Amazon has on sale right now. It’s classified as a dual-band router, which means it’s got exceptional load-balancing capabilities to handle the traffic of a network within a small business. More importantly, though, it’s also a VPN router —  meaning instead of buying separate VPN software licenses for individual employees, you can just set up a VPN service on the router itself. That way, anyone on your staff who connects to the router — even remote workers — will automatically have a secure connection.

Aside from that built-in VPN support, the RV320 also boasts a built-in firewall and hardware encryption for extra privacy protection. Furthermore, it comes with its own browser-based device manager and setup wizards to make your job just a little bit easier.

One thing we should mention: the Cisco RV320 made headlines earlier this year after its proof-of-concept code was published on GitHub, leaving its operating system vulnerable to hackers. Cisco flubbed its first attempt at a patch, but in May released free software updates that addressed the issue. Cisco said in its security advisory that it’s not aware of any instances of hackers using the exploit, but just to be safe, be sure to install those updates as soon as your RV320 arrives.

Get it on Amazon for just $128 — a 52% discount on its original retail price of $265.99, which is a savings of $137.99.
