Apple’s new iPad is cheaper than it was on Black Friday — save $99
TL;DR: Apple’s new 32GB iPad usually retails for $329, but today it’s on sale for a mere $229.99 on Amazon — that’s a bigger discount than its Black Friday pricing.
Let the record show that sales held on Black Friday proper aren’t always ground zero for the best holiday deals on new tech. *bangs gavel*
Exhibit A: After selling it for $249 during their official Black Friday sale, the hardworking folks over at Amazon have just dropped the price of the all-new 32GB Apple iPad to only $229.99. (Yep — they were totally holding out on us.) That’s better than yesterday’s pricing at Walmart, too, so if you thought about buying a new tablet at any point over the past couple of days, consider this a sign from the universe.
The latest iteration of Apple’s popular tablet looks a lot like its Mashable’s Choice Award-winning predecessor (only with a slightly bigger Retina display) and features the same all-day battery life. But thanks to some serious hardware improvements, it’s a better machine overall. For starters, it’s powered by one of the new A10 Fusion chips, which Apple says gives it “two times faster performance over the top-selling Windows PC for powerful multitasking and smooth gameplay.” (That’s a pretty bold claim, TBH.) It’s also capable of supporting a full-sized Smart Keyboard, and its 100% recycled aluminum body features updated cameras and sensors.
All of that being said, the 2018 iPad isn’t a crappy device by any means — but if you’ve been pondering the idea of upgrading, Amazon’s current deal makes now the time to do it.
Head over to Amazon to order the new 32GB iPad today for $229.99 (a 30% savings), but hurry — we doubt that pricing will last much longer.
