Luckily, February happens to be one of the best months of the entire year to score a new tablet — and Amazon is kicking things off a few days early with a rare-ish bargain on Apple’s latest iPad.
As of this morning, the online retailer has lowered the price of the 128GB model with WiFi to only $329.99. At a savings of about $99, we haven’t seen this bad boy get a discount this high since mid-December.
The snazzy new 7th-gen tablet made waves upon its debut in September at Tim Cook’s big iPhone event as a markedly bigger, markedly faster upgrade to its predecessor. Its glorious Retina display measures 10.2 inches across (compared to the sixth-gen version’s 9.7-inch touchscreen), and it comes equipped with Apple’s A10 Fusion chip, which makes it twice as speedy as the top-selling Windows PC laptop. (Or that’s what Apple claims, at least.)
This tablet also marks two other firsts for the iPad line: It offers support for the Apple Pencil in addition to Smart Keyboard compatibility, and its extremely lightweight unibody enclosure is constructed from 100 percent recycled aluminum. In other words, it’s a portable little multitasking machine.
