Brushing your teeth can be a tedious task when all you want to do is go to sleep. However, using an electric toothbrush like the Philips Sonicare Essence Sonic can make that daily chore a bit more fun, as well as remove more yucky plaque than average toothbrushes — it’s a win-win. The Philips Sonicare Essence is now discounted for 60% off with a sales price of just $19.95, or a $30.04 savings, on Amazon.

The lowest we’ve ever seen this item drop is down to $14 back in June, so who knows: maybe it could go even lower for Black Friday. If you don’t want to wait though, then $19.99 for a Philips Sonicare electric toothbrush is an amazing deal.

This electric rechargeable toothbrush features Philips’s sonic technology that helps clean teeth and along the gumline more efficiently than standard toothbrushes with up to 31,000 brush strokes per minute. It also gently, yet powerfully, removes plaque in those hard-to-reach areas that are really annoying to brush otherwise. The Essence Sonic even has a two-minute timer that helps you keep track of the recommended brushing time.

The Philips Sonicare Essence Sonic has a whopping two weeks of power with just one single charge, so you don’t have to keep it on the charger all the time to get a good clean brushing in the morning and before bedtime. This electric toothbrush system comes with a charging base station, electric brushing unit, and one e-Series Standard angled neck and contoured bristle brush head. All of this for just $19.99.

Amazon customer E. Marzano writes:

“I am a dental professional, and have been using Sonicare brushes since 1992. This is the older (2nd gen) model, it is more durable than the more recent models. The handle is much thicker (and heavier) than the newer models, and the brush heads screw on (newer models just pop on). This may be a significant demerit for some users, but I have no trouble with it and again, it will last for many years. The only thing that can really kill it is the battery getting too old. Mechanically, there are no internal moving parts in this unit (other than the on/off button), the moving part being within the brush head itself, and thus it is renewed with each brush replacement. On the newer models, the mechanical parts are internal, and they can’t be replaced. Hence, the newer, more expensive models will not last as long.”
