AirPods Pro covered in 18-karat gold will *only* cost you $67,000
What do you buy the oligarch who has everything? How about a pair of AirPods Pro covered in real gold.
Yes, Caviar, the Russian luxury gadget company that brought us the $70,000 diamond-encrusted iPhone 11 Pro, just released a pair of AirPods Pro made of “750-content gold” (which translates to 18-karat gold or 75 percent pure gold).
And they’re available for the bargain-basement price of $67,790, pure chump change if you’re, say, the heir to an oil fortune. That’s only $67,540 more than a regular set of AirPods Pro.
But this is Caviar we’re talking about, the people who brought you iPhones that allegedly have pieces of the moon in them. They’re not going to stop at just coating the earbuds in gold. No, you also get a gold-covered wireless charging case
Now, wait a second, you might be thinking, it’s 2019 and I’m on a budget.
Well, you’re in luck because Caviar also has a range of much cheaper luxury editions.
For instance, there’s the Grace model which, for $1,550, gets you a pair of black AirPods Pro and a case covered in “genuine python leather” (also available in “crystal white” for just $1,320).
Oh, and if you’re not in to python leather, what about a wireless charging case surrounded by alligator leather?
Caviar generously has four different color options for this: green (“Prosperity,” shown above, $1,550), black (“Confidence,” $1,440), dark chocolate (“Grandeur,” $1,400), and pink (“Delicious,” $1,550).
If you think you’re ready to take the plunge, you better get to clicking, because the holidays are approaching fast and these need to ship all the way from Russia.
