Everything coming to HBO Max in February 2021
Who’s ready for HBO Max’s February releases?
This month, in terms of TV, you can stream It’s a Sin — a 5-episode limited series that tackles the AIDS epidemic in 1980s London. Or catch Close Enough Season 2, Michaela Coel’s Chewing Gum, and new episodes of Haute Dog. Don’t forget to watch the Season 8 premiere of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver and the season finales of Selena + Chef and 30 Coins.
When it comes to films, both slapstick comedy Tom & Jerry and biographical drama Judas and the Black Messiah will be hitting HBO Max the same day they arrive in theaters. You’ll also be able to stream a brand new Studio Ghibli fantasy, Earwig and the Witch, and the documentary There Is No “I” In Threesome.
Check out everything coming to HBO Max in February 2021 below.
Top Pick: Judas and the Black Messiah
Judas and the Black Messiah recounts the real-life story of Fred Hampton, the chairman of the Black Panther Party who was assassinated by the FBI in 1969 at just 21-years-old. While Academy Award nominee Daniel Kaluuya stars as the fiery activist, nominee Lakeith Stanfield takes the role of the man coerced into keeping an eye on him.
The trailer might only reveal flashes of the action, but it’s heart-pounding music and intense emotions hint at a gripping narrative. The drama’s exploration of police brutality and racism seems just as important now as it was at the time at which it takes place.
How to watch: Judas and the Black Messiah begins streaming Feb. 12 on HBO Max.
