Collecting and trading pins is a beloved past time for many a Disney fanatic. The perfect pin can spark friendships, inspire adventures, and even bring the perfect end to your perfect day.

Everyone and their fairy godmother has “the perfect recipe” for Disney’s iconic Dole Whip; So, you’ll just have to try them all! 

Recipes vary from website to website, but any good DIY Dole Whip starts with two things: (1) A decent ice cream maker and (2) the all-important Dole Whip Soft Serve mix. Yes, it’s a pretty hefty price tag, but you’ll have plenty of mix to make as much Dole Whip as your heart desires — and an ice cream maker forever!

Of course, we had to include something special on this list just for the Pixar fans. 

It may surprise you to learn that Pixar doesn’t sell a specially branded version of the “Luxo Jr.” lamp from its beloved 1986 animated short. Turns out, there’s a good reason for that: Pixar got sued. It was [insert fanfare] a whole thing.

Versions of the product that started Pixar’s legal trouble with Luxo (the actual lighting company that created the lamp that inspired the iconic character) are still floating around online, so technically you could still buy a Disney Luxo Jr. Lamp. Unfortunately, they cost well into the hundreds — and sometimes thousands — of dollars.
