Takeaway bosses guilty of manslaughter after teen’s allergy death



Takeaway bosses have been found guilty of manslaughter after a teenager suffered an allergic reaction to their food.

Megan Lee, from Oswaldtwistle, had eaten food from the Royal Spice takeaway on 30 December 2016.

The 15-year-old suffered a fatal asthma attack and died in hospital two days later.

On Friday, the restaurant’s bosses Mohammed Abdul Kuddus, 40, and Harun Rashid, 38, were found guilty of manslaughter by gross negligence at Manchester Crown Court.
