Rosie Johnson: Body found on Isle of Wight by police searching for politician’s niece | UK News



Police searching for the niece of a Scottish politician who went missing from a children’s holiday park have found a body.

Rosie Johnson was last seen on Sunday at the PGL’s Little Canada Activity Centre in Wootton on the Isle of Wight, where she worked as an instructor.

Hampshire Police confirmed officers looking for the 22-year-old found a body in Wootton on Friday afternoon.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and although formal identification is yet to take place, Ms Johnson’s next of kin have been made aware of the discovery, the force added.

A file is now being prepared for the coroner.

Daniel Johnson, Scottish Labour MSP for Edinburgh Southern, had tweeted an appeal for his missing niece earlier this week.
