Police warning over ‘black panther’ sighting in Scotland

Police have issued a safety warning after receiving a report of what is believed to be a blank panther on the loose in Scotland.

Ayrshire Police are “asking residents to be vigilant” after the apparent spotting of the big cat in the fields near to the B730.

Police also urged the public not to approach the creature.

Officers are currently working to locate the animal which may be injured.

Police first received calls of a sighting at 8.45am and officers are searching the area.

The area is popular with dog walkers.
