Murder arrest after three elderly men found dead in Exeter | UK News

A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after police linked the deaths of three elderly men in Exeter.

The first man, 80, was confirmed dead after police were called to an address in Bonhay Road at around 3pm on Monday 11 February.

The bodies of two men, both 84, were then found at an address in Cowick Lane at around 1pm yesterday.

A man, 27, was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of murder and is still being held by Devon and Cornwall Police.

The two roads where the bodies were found are only around a mile apart.

Police want anyone who was in the area of Bonhay Road and Cowick Lane between 8am on Sunday and 1pm on Tuesday, and may have seen anything relevant, to get in touch.

“While a man has been arrested on suspicion of murder in relation to these incidents, we must keep an open mind and avoid speculation as we are still in the very early stages of what is already a complex investigation,” said Superintendent Matt Lawler.

“We have therefore issued an appeal for information from the public and for any potential witnesses who were in either area during specific times.

“It is vital that anyone who has any information shares with us it as soon as possible.”

:: Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting log 472 11 February.
