Man arrested after car driven into Essex pub leaving one dead and three injured | UK News



A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a car was driven into a pub in Colchester, Essex.

He has also been held on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, death by dangerous driving and assault.

The victim is believed to be in his 40s.

At least three people have been taken to hospital, with one sustaining life-changing injuries, according to the emergency services.

Police were called to the Spinnaker Public House in Hythe Quay, Colchester, around 12.30am on Sunday.

Four ambulances, the hazardous incidents team, two medical teams, four officers and a paid response vehicle were sent to the scene according to the east of England ambulance service.
