Libby Squire suspect Pawel Relowicz in court on unrelated charges | UK News

A man arrested in connection with the disappearance of student Libby Squire has appeared in court on unrelated charges of outraging public decency, voyeurism and burglary.
Pawel Relowicz, of Raglan Street in Hull, is accused of masturbating in a public place, watching another person “doing a private act” for his own sexual gratification, and stealing vibrators, sex toys, knickers, condoms, photographs and computer equipment from people’s homes.
Police said the 24-year-old “remains under investigation” after he was arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of abducting Ms Squire.
Speaking to Hull magistrates through a Polish interpreter, he pleaded not guilty to all the unrelated charges and confirmed his name, address and date of birth.
His solicitor said he would not be making a bail application and the case was referred up to Hull Crown Court for a hearing on 11 March.
Ms Squire, 21, was reported missing on Friday 1 February and police have been searching for her for 11 days.
She was seen taking a taxi from a nightclub on 31 January and was dropped off near her home at around 11.29pm.
She was seen near a bench on Beverley Road around 10 minutes later.
Large digital posters of the philosophy student, originally from High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire, have been placed around Hull city centre and university students have been helping with the search.
Superintendent Matt Hutchinson said in a statement: “We are continuing to investigate the disappearance of Libby Squire and a 24-year-old man remains under investigation.
“Our priority remains to find Libby and support her family at this incredibly distressing time.”
It is believed CCTV footage is being examined by police which shows an unidentified man getting in and out of a car minutes after Libby was last seen.
The man is seen opening the front passenger door and moving around, before getting behind the wheel and driving away at around 12.09am on 1 February.
