Cotinus.org launches their new free to publish Open Access computer science journals

Cotinus is a non-profit voluntary association of academic and industry researchers striving for a better publishing experience for computer science researchers worldwide.

The academic research industry is a thriving space, and it is believed that nearly two million research papers are published in academic journals every year. Whilst authors around the world are doing their utmost best to engage in noteworthy scientific research, the extortionately high price of publishing in Open Access journals makes it difficult for authors to disseminate their research freely. With the ever-increasing plight of predatory publishers propping up, especially computer science publishers, Cotinus.org was launched to offer researchers free open access publishing within their range of computer science journals.

With Cotinus, computer scientists now have a journal to publish their research works, articles, and manuscripts without the burden of huge Open Access fees. Cotinus is a non-profit voluntary association of academic and industry researchers striving for an improved publishing experience for researchers. Cotinus has a progressive peer-review process which has proven pivotal to research innovation within computer science.

Cotinus offers a range of free to publish open access journals in the field of computer science, where researchers are able to publish their manuscripts in a peer-reviewed Open Access journal, for free. A source from the Cotinus stated: “We have several open access (OA) computer science journals which are all peer-reviewed. Our initiative means non-funded researchers can publish OA completely free of charge, and grant-funded researchers can simply donate any amount towards the publishing fees, which helps towards the upkeep of our services i.e. servers, DOI management etc.”

Cotinus aims to disrupt the current outdated publishing experience. Their computer science journals are currently accepting expressions of interest for manuscript submissions, and calls for papers will be announced within the next few weeks. Furthermore, expressions of interest are open for peer-reviewers and qualified journal editors. Those who do wish to express interest must share the same values as the association, which are dedication, modern thinking, and respect for authors’ time.
