Appeal for information after two men killed while helping driver on A20

An appeal has been launched after two men were fatally injured while going to the aid of a driver whose car had overturned.

The two men, aged 25 and 54, were fatally injured when they were struck by a silver Mercedes on the London-bound A20 near Swanley in Kent at around 11am on Tuesday.

They had gone to assist the driver of an overturned silver Vauxhall Astra.

A total of seven vehicles were involved in the incident and a further six people were injured.

The road was closed for 12 hours as officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit examined the area.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any dashcam footage that could help with enquiries.
