‘Grace and Frankie’ are back as Netflix drops surprise episodes of final season
All good things come to an end. And Grace and Frankie is not exempt from that rule — even though it pains me to write that.
But in news you’ll be delighted to hear, Netflix has surprised us all by making the first four episodes of the seventh and final season available to stream.
Filming of the final season of Marta Kauffman and Howard J. Morris’ comedy, which stars the legendary Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, was halted in March 2020 due to COVID-19.
The remaining 12 episodes of Season 7 will be released in 2022, with dates yet to be announced, but hopefully these four episodes will tide us over until then.

ICYMI, Grace and Frankie tells the story of two women who find themselves unexpectedly single after their husbands (Martin Sheen and Sam Waterston) reveal they’ve been having an affair together for the past two decades. Despite being an unlikely friendship match, Grace Hansen (Fonda) and Frankie Bergstein (Tomlin) bond over their shared heartbreak and life upheaval, becoming closer and closer and eventually launching a business together.
The final season will star the core four (Fonda, Tomlin, Sheen, and Waterston) alongside June Diane Raphael, Peter Gallagher, Brooklyn Decker, Ethan Embry, and Baron Vaughn.
The four new episodes of Grace and Frankie Season 7 are available to stream now on Netflix.
