Bose’s Wave Music System IV is on sale on Amazon — save 26%
TL;DR: This compact Bose music system retails for $499.95, but Amazon has it on sale right now for just under $370, and you can choose between two different colors.
Got a stack of old CDs collecting dust on your closet shelf? Don’t doom them to the dumpster just yet: Bose’s Wave Music System IV can make Oops!… I Did It Again and No Strings Attached sound just as good as they did back in 2000, and Amazon’s got it on sale right now.
Along with a CD player, this small-but-mighty stereo includes an AM/FM radio tuner and an input in the back for other sources. Whatever you decide to play, it’ll use exclusive waveguide speaker technology to fill its surroundings with the sort of rich, natural sound you’d expect from a much larger sound system.
Setting up the Wave Music System IV is ridiculously simple; just plug ‘er in to get the party started. From there, you can either pop in a CD — choose from repeat, random, or continuous play modes — or use the included remote to scroll through different radio stations. (The stereo’s screen will display song and station information so you know what you’re listening to.)
But what if you’ve got a ? playlist on your smartphone or tablet? Must you burn it to a CD or tether the device to your stereo with an ugly cord? Not necessarily: If you buy a Bluetooth adapter (like this one), you can enjoy completely wireless streaming with your Wave Music System IV.
Here’s what Amazon reviewer Roxalanne Allen had to say about their Bose stereo:
“Love the sound quality and how easy it is to both setup the system and use it. I had always heard the phrase ‘get a Bose’, but never understood why. Now I get it. This is a quality product and the instructions for use require almost no time. How wonderful this is in a world of convoluted electronic devices!!”
The Bose Wave Music System IV has a suggested retail price of $499,95, but you can get it in either platinum silver or espresso black for just $366.90 or $368.97, respectively. Whichever finish you select, you’ll be saving a decent 26%.
