Save $800 on refurbished models
TL;DR: The coveted iMac computer rarely sees any discounts, but you can grab one in the Mashable Shop for just $349 if you don’t mind a pre-loved model.
The recently concluded WWDC 2019 unveiled a lot of things. For starters, there’s going to be a new and improved Music app (RIP iTunes, you will be missed), new OS updates for the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Mac, new Memojis. But the talk of the night was undoubtedly the brand spanking new Mac Pro, which reportedly has a price tag of an astounding $5,999.
That hefty cost is supposedly warranted, though. It boasts 1.5 terabytes of RAM, a powerful graphics card, multiple expansion slots, and a host of other cool features. Not bad for a device that essentially looks like a monstrous cheese grater.
But while owning such a device is the stuff of dreams, it’s hard to justify that extraneous sticker price when a certified refurbished Apple iMac is available on sale. Sure, it might not be as powerful as the new Mac Pro, but it’s still very much capable, and again — it’s on sale.
Don’t be put off by the word refurbished. This iMac boasts a 21.5-inch HD LED glossy widescreen display, a wallop of processing power for next-level multitasking, and an impressive 250 GB SATA hard drive for housing all your essential data. It has a built-in ATI Radeon HD 6750M graphics processor to accommodate high-octane games, and the design comes with an adjustable aluminum stand so you can get the perfect viewing angle with every use.
Most importantly, it can be yours for a fraction of what you’d pay for a new one, so you’ll go home a winner here.
Normally retailing for $1,199, a certified refurbished Apple iMac can be yours for only $379. That’s a savings of a 68%.
