This high-tech alarm clock will make you coffee — and it’s on sale
Nothing says it’s time for coffee more than your skull-piercing alarm first thing in the morning. Even the staunchest caffeine aficionados have a difficult time getting up — despite knowing that a freshly brewed cup of joe is in their future. We should know — we’re obsessed with coffee. (Peep our lists of the best drip coffee makers and the best single-serve coffee makers for proof.)
Joshua Renouf, a London-based designer, recognized this very problem and created the Barisieur, a premium alarm clock that will deliver your much-needed caffeine fix even before you open your eyes. It rarely goes on sale, but you can pick one up right now for 10% off.
Equal parts personal barista and personal assistant, the Barisieur is straight out of a coffee devotee’s dream. Instead of waking you up with an earsplitting noise, this alarm clock and coffee maker hybrid eases you into the day with calming sounds of bubbling water, coupled with the heavenly aroma of freshly brewed coffee or tea.
Right at your pre-selected time, the built-in inductor boils the water, which then travels through a tube, into the vessel that houses the coffee grounds, and finally, pours into a glass cup for your immediate enjoyment. There’s even a tiny refrigerated chamber designated to keep your milk chilled overnight, and a drawer that you can use to store coffee, sugar, or tea leaves.
Make mornings suck less with the Barisieur Tea and Coffee Maker Alarm Clock. Normally retailing for $445, you can get it on sale for only $399 — a savings of 10%.
