Apple announces March 25 event
Oh, the excitement.
Apple fans have reason to celebrate today, as the Cupertino-based company officially announced an upcoming event to be held at the Steve Jobs Theater. Invitations hit inboxes March 11, and, as we’ve come to expect, were intentionally vague.
“It’s show time,” the invite reads. “Please join us for an Apple special event at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino.”
The event is scheduled to take place March 25, at 10 a.m. PT.
While it’s not 100 percent clear what the company plans dazzle us with, there is plenty of speculation that it will involve various subscription services — as opposed to something hardware related.
Bloomberg reports that “Hollywood stars” have been invited to the event, and that the subscription services in question will include both a streaming service for TV shows and films, and one for news.
We can hardly wait.
