Save $500 on a Samsung TV at Walmart and watch ‘Elf’ in 4K all season long
If there’s any time of year that warrants upgrading to a new 4K TV, it’s the holiday season. Whether you’re already watching Elf and Love Actually on repeat, or have committed to at least waiting until Dec. 1, there’s only a small window of time where you can really lean into that whole holiday movie thing without feeling like a total weirdo.
If your current TV leaves something to be desired, or if you’re shopping for one as a gift, Walmart has a model on sale today that would make an excellent choice.
The Samsung 55-inch NU8000 4K smart TV is on sale for $847.99, which is $552 off the regular price of $1,399.99.
Performance-wise, the NU8000 delivers the kind of 4K you would hope for. Samsung TVs offer some of the best color display and contrasting of any brand out there, ideal for animation fans, gamers, or your standard holiday movie cinephiles. The HDR Plus will balance out the colors with deep blacks and white to give the picture a more natural feel, and with Motion Rate 240, you should have a smooth picture for whatever you’re watching or playing.
Coming in at 55-inches, it won’t take up too much space and should be easy to set up. And since it uses a center-base instead of leg stands, you won’t have to worry as much about whether your TV stand is big enough.
Go ahead, put White Christmas on for the sixth time — we won’t judge.
