Get a MacBook Air on sale for a ridiculous $500 off at Amazon
Good news: After being drowned in new iPhone and new Apple Watch news for the past two months, we have finally been blessed with a new MacBook Air model.
Bad news: It’s kind of a letdown. The new Air essentially sports the same old design first introduced in 2008, now with thinner bezels and in colors other than silver (*sarcastic whoopee*). Also, it’s wickedly overpriced for how small the upgrades are. (Read the full review here.)
Back to good news: If you’re not one of those people who insists on having the latest and greatest model of everything, you should know that the just-as-good 5th generation MacBook Air is $500 off at Amazon, dropping the price to just $899. IDK about you, but we’ll take that any day.
Just for reference, $899 is nearly what refurbished MacBook Airs go for at Best Buy, and even we can’t believe that Amazon is offering new ones for that low. Whatever, let’s not question it.
If there’s one laptop that’s confidently one-size-fits-all, it’s the MacBook Air — whether that’s baby’s first laptop, a high school senior’s grad present for college, an adulting full-time job laptop, or grandma’s introductory laptop. They’re less than three pounds, thin enough to slip comfortably into any bag, and sport an impressively large 13.3-inch display — and are somehow able to get 12 hours of battery life on one charge.
For those interested in the more nitty gritty specs, this MacBook Air sees 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of SSD, a 1.8Ghz Intel dual-core processor, and the Intel UHD Graphics 6000 card. In comparison to the new Air, almost all specs stayed the same with most changes happening on the exterior, so you’re not missing out on a whole lot by opting for the cheaper, older model.
Regularly $1,398.60, you can save $500 and swipe the MacBook Air for yourself or as a bomb holiday gift for just $899.
