Buy a Mac, get free AirPods with Apple’s back-to-school promotion
TL;DR: You can get credit towards a free pair of AirPods when you buy an eligible device as part of Apple’s back-to-school promotion (ending September 29).
Going back to school is already a stressful situation, particularly this year. New classes, new professors, new people to interact with — it’s sensory overload, at least at the beginning. While that initial anxiety is hard to avoid, you can at least get some stress out of the way by showing up (be that in-person or online) to your first day back fully prepared with the supplies you need.
Specifically for college students, you’re going to need a solid computer or tablet, and if you’re going to buy one of those, why not also get a free pair of AirPods? Apple is currently running a back-to-school promo (ending September 29), where both students and educators can get a pair of the world’s most coveted Bluetooth headphones free of charge with the purchase of a MacBook or iPad (or even an iMac, but who brings one of those to school?).
Here’s how it works. First, you need to pick up one of the eligible Apple devices — these include:
After that, you’ll get a $159 credit towards a pair of AirPods, bringing your price down to a lovely $0. Even better, you can also apply that credit towards more expensive AirPods models, like the AirPods Pro. Those won’t be free, but $159 off is a pretty sweet price cut, if you ask us.
You’ll have to provide proof that you’re attending school if you decide to redeem the offer in-store, but when you purchase online, you don’t. Do with that information what you will!
