Dehumidifiers from Whynter, Frigidaire, and LG are on sale
TL;DR: Dehumidifiers are on sale at Best Buy and Wayfair — as of June 18, you can save up to $83 from brands like Whynter, Honeywell, and LG.
As we approach extra-sticky weather thanks to hurricane season (on top of irregularly hot pre-summer months), indoor humidity control is something we should all be thinking about. It can be for uses as minor as cutting down on AC usage because dry air feels cooler, or something as serious as mold.
Many of us have been spending more time at home lately, and you may have noticed the windows in your basement getting condensation or paint peeling in a certain musty room — or perhaps you’ve noticed the mold itself. That’s where a dehumidifier needs to go.
Though they’re not a replacement for an air purifier, according to the EPA, dehumidifiers also offer some similar effects in that they can reduce formaldehyde levels from wood products, cigarette smoke, paints, varnishes, and carpets, which can be triggered when indoor air is hot and humid.
A decent number of dehumidifiers are on sale this week, with coverage ranging from small spaces like 100 square feet to multiple rooms up to 2,000 square feet. Here’s what we found:
