Google announces I/O 2020 dates
Google’s annual I/O developer conference will take place at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California, on May 12-14.
The dates have been revealed by Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai, together with a short teaser video, below.
Just like last year, Google unveiled the dates through a little puzzle game, which has now been solved.
Even though I/O is primarily a developer conference, Google typically announces some new hardware at the event. Last year, it was the Pixel 3a and 3a XL, and this year, we’ll likely see the new Pixel 4a, possibly accompanied with the new Pixel Buds. A new Nest device is not out of the question, either, given that Google launched the Nest Hub Max at last year’s conference.
We’ll surely learn a lot about Google’s new software projects as well, including the next major version of the company’s mobile OS, Android 11.
