Apple’s got a nice one-two combo today for anyone looking to purchase a seriously powerful desktop computer.
Dec. 10 is the date the long-awaited new Mac Pro becomes available for purchase (hasn’t happened yet, but we’ll update this article when it does).
The powerful machine starts at $5,999 and can be configured to have up an Intel Xeon W processor with 8-28 cores, 32GB to 1.5TB of memory, and up to four powerful Radeon GPUs.
Alongside the Mac Pro, Apple is also launching its new Pro Display XDR, a professional-grade display that costs $4,999 and that’s without the optional stand, which costs another thousand bucks.
This combo starts at $11,997. Cheese optional.

Here comes the cool part: Apple has a special holiday promotion for Apple Card owners, offering 6 percent cashback on Apple hardware purchases. While this is only available on purchases of Apple hardware in Apple’s online or retail stores, it should apply to the new Mac Pro as well. And while 6 percent might not sound like huge savings, it’s a non-negligible $360 for the cheapest new Mac Pro and $300 for the Pro Display XDR.
Note that the promotion does not apply to purchases of software or services, only hardware. The promotion lasts until Dec. 31.
