Bundle it and save $40
TL;DR: Bundle Amazon’s new Fire TV Blaster with a Fire TV Stick 4K and Echo Dot for $94.97, saving you $40.
Amazon has somehow announced another new Fire TV device. How are they not out of ideas yet?
The latest in the Fire TV family is called the Fire TV Blaster, and while it sounds like something straight out of Rick and Morty, it’s actually just a universal remote that you control with your voice. The device officially releases on Dec. 11, but if you pre-order it right now, you can bundle it with a Fire TV Stick 4K and Echo Dot for $94.97, saving you $40.
Wow, that seems like quite the bundle, right? Well, that’s because you need Fire TV and Echo devices in order to use the Fire TV Blaster — it’s not a standalone product. And while, yes, it technically has the functions of a universal remote, it’s not actually a remote. It’s a little hub and your voice is the only way you can use it; there’s no manual hands-on option.
Use your voice to control compatible TVs, soundbars, satellite and cable boxes, and receivers.
We aren’t super sold on the Fire TV Blaster yet, but if you have a TV, soundbar, satellite or cable box, receiver, and all that jazz, and you like using voice commands, then it seems like a cool product for you. It does seem like a nice convenience to be able to say, “Alexa, turn on the TV” or ask to switch between inputs.
The Alexa voice remote is included, so you don’t always have to use your voice to turn on your TV or switch channels. If you already have a Fire TV Stick and an Echo device, then you can purchase the Fire TV Blaster by itself for $34.99, but if you don’t, this bundle is a nice little deal.
Grab a Fire TV Blaster, Fire TV Stick 4K, and Echo Dot for $94.97 and save $40. (Reminder that you won’t get the devices until Dec. 11 if you order now.)
