Apple launches new, 10.2-inch iPad
Apple has kicked off its big iPhone event with software and services, but the first hardware device to hit the stage is the new, 10.2-inch iPad.
Besides being significantly larger than before (its predecessor had a 9.7-inch screen), the 7th generation entry-level iPad comes with Apple’s A10 Fusion chip, and brings support for Apple Pencil for the first time.
It also has a smart connector, meaning you can connect it to Apple’s Smart Keyboard.
Apple also says the new iPad has an enclosure that’s fully built out of recycled aluminum.
The new, 10.2-inch iPad starts at $329 for regular customers and $299 for education customers. It’s available for pre-order today and starts shipping at the end of the month.
