Lenovo’s 15-inch Ideapad L340 gaming laptop is on sale for 38% off
TL;DR: The Lenovo Ideapad L340 gaming laptop is just $599 on Amazon today — its lowest price ever on the retail giant’s site. (It’s normally $969.99, so you’ll save $371.)
If patience is a virtue, all you console gamers out there are a saintly bunch: You have to wait ’til 2020 to get your hands on the latest Xbox or Playstation console.
That might be reason enough to convince you to join the so-called PC Master Race: PC gamers are rarely forced to twiddle their thumbs in anticipation of a new machine; gaming laptops come out all the time, and modifying them to support different titles is often as easy as swapping graphics cards. Plus, gaming PCs are way more portable than a traditional console, which allows for more flexible play. (Imagine carrying a whole-ass PS4 setup around in your backpack. Couldn’t be me!)
Whatever your personal rationale, there’s no better time than now to make the switch from console to PC gaming (or at least start dabbling in both): The 15-inch version of Lenovo’s entry-level Ideapad L340 gaming laptop is on sale on Amazon today for its lowest price in the site’s history, and every purchase includes a free game as part of a special Intel promotion.
Praised by our pals over at PCMag for its simple yet attractive design, the Ideapad L340 was released in May as a budget-friendly alternative to Lenovo’s fancier Legion series of gaming laptops. It comes in two different display sizes — 15 or 17 inches — with the former offering great bang for your buck with powerful NVIDIA GeForce Graphics, a 9th-generation Intel Core i5 processor, 512 GB of storage, 8GB of RAM, Dolby Audio, a blue-light reducing Eye Care Mode, and a snazzy backlit keyboard that glows a neon turquoise. (Don’t let all those specs make you think you have to relegate this machine to just gaming, though: The Ideapad L340 features a “Quiet” mode for working in addition to its “Quick” gaming mode.)
As for that free game: Amazon will email you a redeemable code the day after your Ideapad L340 ships as part of a promotion for the Intel Gaming Days 2019 sales event. (Note: The deal’s Terms and Conditions don’t specify which game you’ll receive, but hey — free is free, right?)
The 15-inch Lenovo Ideapad L340 typically retails for $969.99, but you can order it today for just $599 — a $371 (38%) savings.
